Full-time, 13-week contract, night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care within a Neuro-focused Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and stepdown setting.
• Float to other medical-surgical areas as needed, including orthopedics and general med-surg units.
• Monitor patients using GE hardwired monitors and administer IV medications and drips.
• Collaborate with a team of nurses, PCTs, and other staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including cardiac monitoring and ACLS procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation using the Meditech EMR system.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or valid state nursing license.
• Experience in a PCU, neuro, or stepdown setting.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Ability to perform cardiac monitoring and manage IV medication drips.
• NIH certification (or ability to obtain prior to start date).
• BLS certification preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Tracheostomy care experience.
• Knowledge of neuro or cardiac monitoring equipment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Experience working in a fast-paced hospital environment.
