- Full-time, 13-week travel assignment, Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a medical-surgical unit.
- Perform basic patient assessments and monitor patient conditions regularly.
- Manage post-operative procedures, including care for wounds, drains, chest tubes, and ostomies.
- Administer prescribed medications, including Heparin drips, and operate IV pumps.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure patient safety and effective communication.
- Document patient care and vital signs accurately using Meditech system.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of Tennessee.
- BLS and NIHSS certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant hospital experience.
- Ability to perform patient assessments and manage wound care, tracheostomy, ostomy, drains, and chest tubes.
- Knowledge of post-op procedures, including amputations, OR surgeries, and wound vacs.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with dialysis or PCA pumps.
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
