- Full-time, day shift (Monday-Friday, 7 am - 5:30 pm) with rotational call
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during catheterization and electrophysiology procedures, ensuring all room and equipment are prepared.
- Monitor patient condition and provide routine and emergency patient care during procedures.
- Instruct patients and support their needs throughout the process.
- Contribute to team training by helping orient and train other staff members.
- Participate in quality control initiatives through auditing and reporting activities.
- Support cross-training across modalities, including potentially assisting with EP procedures or RN-scrubbing of cardiac cases.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold an RCIS, ARRT (Radiologic Technologist)/TMB Radiography, or imaging credential.
- Associate’s degree in Radiology, or 1 year of experience in the Cath Lab, or 2 years of Cath Lab experience in lieu of formal education.
- Certification in BLS and ACLS within 30 days of hire.
- Must meet one of the following certifications: ARRT-R, MRT (TX Medical Board), RCIS, RCES, CEPS, or CCDS.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience assisting with cardiac or electrophysiology procedures.
- Willingness to cross-train in electrophysiology tech or assist in cardiac cases.
- Strong patient care skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
