- Full-time, travel, 13-week assignment, night shift (7 PM – 7 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a busy medical surgical unit with a focus on surgical flap and spinal cord injury patients.
- Monitor patients using telemetry equipment and perform procedures such as wound care, bowel programs, and light burn care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including burn specialists and surgeons, to support patient recovery.
- Document patient care and progress accurately in the electronic medical record system.
- Assist with semi-private room assignments during high census periods, maintaining high-quality care standards.
- Support patient education and discharge planning as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of Colorado.
- BLS certification.
- Previous experience in a medical surgical setting (minimum 2 years).
- Strong skills in wound care and telemetry monitoring.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience caring for spinal cord injury patients, particularly with stage 4 wounds requiring surgical intervention.
- Familiarity with burn unit care and low-acuity burn patient management.
- Experience working with Meditech EMR system.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, busy floor environment.
