Occupational Therapist

Location: Newport, VT

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days shift, M-F, with weekend rotation

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy services to patients recovering from illness or injury
• Assess patients’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans
• Implement therapeutic activities to improve functional abilities
• Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Collaborate with healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
• Support short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and respite services

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state of Vermont
• Strong understanding of rehabilitation techniques
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Previous experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance procedures
• Experience with short-term and long-term care therapies
