Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to assist patients in recovering functional abilities following illness or injury.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising therapist.
• Support patients in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and rehabilitation exercises.
• Document patient treatments and progress in compliance with facility policies.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA).
• Valid state license or registration to practice as an OTA in West Virginia.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Basic knowledge of healthcare documentation procedures.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation setting.
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance processes.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekend rotation.
