Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, night shift, 3x12s, nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit of an acute care hospital
- Monitor and manage cardiac telemetry and other specialized patient needs
- Document patient progress and coordinate care using Epic electronic health record system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient recovery
- Assist with patient assessments, medication administration, and protocol compliance
- Support emergency responses during hurricane season if assigned to emergency teams
Required Qualifications
- Valid SC license or Compact license in hand prior to start
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a hospital setting (2 years preferred)
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS and CPI preferred
- Epic experience required, along with telemetry competency
- Previous charge nurse experience and community hospital background preferred
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience floating within scope or between units/sister facilities
- Trauma level experience is not required but is a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
