Key Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care to patients in an intensive or step-down unit within a community hospital.
• Monitor and document patient status, including cardiac telemetry, with proficiency in Epic charting system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort during assigned shifts, adhering to facility protocols.
• Participate in patient assessments, medication administration, and treatment plans.
• Support charge nurse responsibilities as needed and ensure compliance with unit policies.

Required Qualifications

• Valid South Carolina or Compact nursing license.
• BLS and NIHSS certification required; ACLS and CPI preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in an ICU, PCU, or step-down unit.
• Epic EHR experience, telemetry competency, and previous charge nurse experience preferred.
• Valid license and certifications must be in hand prior to start date.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a community hospital setting.
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs, including potential cross-unit duties.
• Willingness to work every other weekend.
• Experience managing cardiac telemetry patients and working in trauma-level environments is a plus.
