Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients in a busy obstetrics unit.
- Support patient choices and promote vaginal birth opportunities, ensuring high-quality care.
- Assist with procedures such as IUPC, FSE, MgSO? administration, and postpartum hemorrhage management.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including midwives, CRNA, OB physicians, and nurses to create personalized birth experiences.
- Maintain patient safety and positive experience scores, with a focus on compassionate, attentive care.
- Document patient care accurately using hospital-specific systems (CPN and Meditech).
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Tennessee or applicable state.
- BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications.
- Experience with fetal monitoring and high-risk obstetric procedures.
- Ability to support patient preferences and promote natural birth options.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Knowledge of Spinning Babies techniques and STABLE method.
- Experience in a labor and delivery setting, handling complex obstetric cases.
