Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures in the operating room.
- Act as a circulating nurse and resource for sterile field management.
- Assist with total joint repairs, spine fusions, robotic surgeries, and other specialty cases.
- Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
- Follow unit policies, procedures, and safety protocols, including EMR documentation.
- Participate in on-call rotations as required, with shifts typically involving 12.5 hours.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Alaska RN license.
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience.
- Experience as a circulator and scrub nurse.
- CNOR certification is highly preferred.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a positive team-oriented attitude.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Extensive experience with total joint, neuro, and robotic surgeries.
- Familiarity with Epic EMR system.
- Experience with multi-level spine fusions and robotic cases.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient advocate mindset.
