Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures in the operating room.
• Act as a circulating nurse and resource for sterile field management.
• Assist with total joint repairs, spine fusions, robotic surgeries, and other specialty cases.
• Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
• Follow unit policies, procedures, and safety protocols, including EMR documentation.
• Participate in on-call rotations as required, with shifts typically involving 12.5 hours.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Alaska RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience.
• Experience as a circulator and scrub nurse.
• CNOR certification is highly preferred.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a positive team-oriented attitude.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Extensive experience with total joint, neuro, and robotic surgeries.
• Familiarity with Epic EMR system.
• Experience with multi-level spine fusions and robotic cases.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient advocate mindset.
