Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, contract, night shifts, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive postoperative care to surgical, trauma, and medical patients
• Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and manage wound care and drains
• Assist with IV therapy, dressing changes, and pain management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient progress and coordinate discharge planning as needed
• Maintain a safe, compassionate, and patient-centered environment

Required Qualifications
• Valid Illinois RN license or active application in progress
• BLS certification
• Experience in postoperative surgical care, trauma, or medical-surgical units
• Critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize patient needs
• Strong bedside manner and team-oriented attitude

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Ability to manage common diagnoses such as wound care, IV therapy, and pain management
• Experience with telemetry monitoring (Philips monitors) and managing nurse assist/tech staff
• Knowledge of EPIC electronic health records system
