Therapist - Respiratory Therapist
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Schedule / Job Type: Contract, Nights shifts, 4 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory therapy services primarily in Labor & Delivery (L&D), NICU, PICU, and Pediatric units
- Administer ventilator management, NICU, and PICU ventilator support including Servo I, Servo U, and Hamilton G5 systems
- Monitor and assess patient respiratory status, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Float between NICU, PICU, and Peds units as needed based on hospital requirements
- Maintain compliance with all certification and licensure requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Indiana State Respiratory Therapist license (must be in hand prior to submission)
- NBRC-RRT certification (must be in hand prior to submission)
- Minimum of 18 months recent NICU or PICU experience, including ventilator management
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS (NRP and PALS preferred, can be obtained upon offer)
- Experience with NICU/PICU ventilator support (Servo I, Servo U, Hamilton G5)
- Experience working in children's hospital units or trauma units
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- L&D experience, with a focus on neonatal and pediatric care
- Experience floating between PICU, NICU, and Peds units
- Prior experience in a pediatric or children's hospital setting within the past year
