Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, weekends only (Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday), day shifts, 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the orthopedic unit.
- Monitor patient progress and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Manage IV therapies, including PICC line management and starting IVs.
- Document patient care accurately using electronic charting systems.
- Assist with patient mobility and education within scope of practice.
- Float within scope to meet department needs, including other medical-surgical units as required.
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience in a hospital setting.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Ability to work weekends (Fri-Sun or Sat-Mon).
- Strong IV therapy skills, including PICC line management.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Telemetry experience preferred.
- Experience with Cerner electronic health records system preferred.
- Prior travel nursing experience is a plus.
