Location: Santa Fe, NM

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Dayshift

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, handle, and care for surgical instruments and equipment to ensure operational readiness.
• Support surgeons throughout procedures by maintaining a sterile environment.
• Assist in sterilization and cleansing of surgical tools.
• Adhere to universal precautions and safety protocols to prevent infection and injury.
• Maintain documentation related to surgical procedures and equipment.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduation from a Surgical Technology program preferred.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Surgical Tech certification required.
• Knowledge of instrument care, sterilization procedures, and surgical environment safety.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital operating room or instrument care required.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Previous experience working in surgical services or operating room environment.
• Familiarity with bloodborne pathogen protocols and universal precautions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
