Job Title
• Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type
• Night shifts, 4 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift (5:45 PM – 7:15 AM), full-time

Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality nursing care in the Intermediate Care/Progressive Care/Stepdown units.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias.
• Administer IV therapies, including medication infusions and blood products.
• Manage patients with post-cardiac procedures, respiratory support, and gastrointestinal or genitourinary cases.
• Respond to emergency situations, including stroke and trauma cases.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications
• Active Illinois RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in IMC, PCU, or Stepdown units.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and emergency response.
• Hands-on skills in IV therapy, cardiac management, and ventilator support.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Knowledge of Cerner electronic charting system.
• Previous experience in a teaching hospital or Level I trauma center.
• Charge nurse experience preferred.
• Familiarity with surgical drains, CVA management, and complex respiratory support.
