Job Title

• Travel, 13-week assignment, Nights shifts, 36 guaranteed hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to ICU patients, including those with surgical and oncology needs.
• Perform ICU procedures such as central line placements, thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, and intubations.
• Monitor and operate ICU equipment including ventilators, cardiac output monitors, and other advanced devices.
• Document patient care using Meditech and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
• Adapt staffing according to patient acuity and unit needs.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license for Texas (no temporary licenses accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience in a hospital setting
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Experience with ICU equipment such as ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, and GE Cardiac Output monitors

Preferred Skills / Advanced Skills

• CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) certification preferred
• Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) and hypothermia protocols
• Meditech EMR experience

Patient Population Experience

• Surgical patients, particularly oncology cases

Dress Code and Unit Policies

• RN scrubs in royal blue; no artificial nails or gel polish; neat, clean hair pulled back if long; tattoos covered; only discreet piercings.
• Follow hospital policies on floating, attendance, and uniform hygiene.

Shift Details

• Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), working 3 nights per week
