Schedule / Job Type
- Nights, 12.5-hour shifts, 13-week duration, 3 shifts per week, travel assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in the IMC, PCU, and Stepdown units.
- Monitor patient vital signs and assess patient conditions for changes requiring intervention.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop and modify patient care plans.
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system.
- Assist with procedures such as IV starts, wound care, and monitoring invasive lines.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state.
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent med/surg, IMC, PCU, or stepdown experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with ICU or stepdown units.
- Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly Cerner.
- Bilingual or additional language skills considered a plus.
