Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to orthopedic patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Monitor and assess patient condition, administer medications, and support post-operative recovery.
- Perform procedures such as dressing changes, suture/staple removal, Foley catheters, NG tubes, and wound vac maintenance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated patient care.
- Document patient progress and interventions in electronic medical records.
- Assist in patient education and discharge planning.
Required Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina nursing license.
- Current BLS certification.
- At least 2 years of hospital nursing experience.
- Orthopedic nursing experience preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working with orthopedic surgical patients.
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical records system.
