Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time (13-week contract)
- Night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting accurately in Meditech documentation system.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain bedside reporting and establish personal connections with patients.
- Follow unit policies and procedures, including float policies to Med/Surg/Tele units as needed.
- Adhere to hospital dress code (black scrubs) and safety certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license valid in Virginia.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
- Experience with Meditech documentation system.
- Ability to work three 12-hour night shifts per week, with rotating weekends.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in IMC, PCU, or Stepdown units.
- Familiarity with bedside reporting and patient engagement.
- Comfortable floating to Med/Surg/Tele units as required.
