Job Title

Schedule / Job Type
• 13-week contract
• Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care within the medical-surgical unit in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs, medication administration, and interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth unit operation.
• Document patient progress and clinical information accurately using the hospital’s documentation system.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment adhering to hospital policies and safety standards.

Required Qualifications
• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Virginia or appropriate compact license.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a 12-hour shift schedule.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with hospital documentation systems.
• Knowledge of current medical-surgical procedures and best practices.
• Ability to float between units as needed and work well within a team.
