Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in a Medical/Surgical department for both adult and pediatric patients.
- Work collaboratively with a team of nurses and a hospitalist physician.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow established medical protocols.
- Work scheduled 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend.
- Float to other departments as qualified before core staff are floated, ensuring proper patient care coverage.
- Deliver quality nursing care with minimal supervision, demonstrating clinical expertise and independence.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of professional nursing experience.
- Valid RN license for the state of Oregon.
- Current licensing in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in a hospital setting, particularly in Medical/Surgical units.
- Strong adaptability and teamwork skills.
- Experience working in rural healthcare facilities is a plus.
