Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to orthopedic surgical patients in a fast-paced hospital setting.
- Assist with dressing changes, suture and staple removal, Foley catheter management, NG tube care, and wound vac maintenance.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Utilize electronic medical records to document patient status and procedures.
- Adhere to unit policies, procedures, and dress code standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina RN license.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent hospital nursing experience.
- Orthopedic nursing experience preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with orthopedic procedures and post-operative care.
- Comfortable working with walkie, bedside commode, bladder scanners, CPM, and other patient mobilization equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
