Schedule / Job Type
Full-time, contract, travel, 13-week assignment, days shift (12:45 PM – 1:15 AM), working 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency care to diverse patient populations in a fast-paced, Level II trauma center setting
- Monitor and assess patients, perform procedures, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner system and ensure compliance with hospital policies
- Maintain patient safety and comfort, incorporating AIDET and respectful communication practices
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and positive patient experiences
- Adhere to all safety, clinical, and hospital-specific guidelines and policies
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina or the ability to acquire licensure quickly
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a registered nurse, with at least 1 year in an ER setting
- Valid ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC certifications (or willing to obtain before start date)
- Experience working in a high-volume, Level 2 trauma and comprehensive stroke center with 100,000+ visits annually
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback
- Flexibility to float within all areas of the ED as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in high-acuity EDs and familiarity with HCA or similar hospital systems
- Knowledge of advanced procedures and trauma protocols
- Comfortable working in a multicultural environment serving a community with over 120 languages
