Key Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures, primarily focusing on open-heart surgeries with current or recent experience.
• Ensure adherence to sterile techniques and maintain proper instrumentation and central processing standards.
• Float and assist in general surgery cases when CVOR volumes are low, supporting various surgical teams as needed.
• Work 40 hours per week, with shifts either four 10-hour days or five 8-hour days (6:00 am - 2:30 pm).
• Participate in call duties, including 2-3 days per week and possible holiday and weekend call rotations.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Current BLS certification.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred but not required.
• Minimum 2 years recent experience in open-heart surgery.
• Strong critical thinking skills and knowledge of central processing and instrumentation.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience assisting in general surgery procedures.
• Flexibility to float between different surgical specialties as needed.
