Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to Oncology patients in a hospital setting.
- Administer blood products, electrolytes, and chemotherapy treatments.
- Monitor patient vitals, manage symptoms, and assist with medical procedures such as line and dressing changes.
- Follow unit policies including neutropenic precautions, strict input/output documentation, and infection control measures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care and safety.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic medical records.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license.
- BLS certification.
- Oncology nursing experience.
- Ability to perform procedures such as blood and electrolyte replacement.
- Compassionate personality fitting for oncology patient care.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Hematology/Oncology background.
- Certification in chemotherapy administration.
- Experience with bone marrow transplant units.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Meditech.
