Registered Nurse ICU

Job Title
• Registered Nurse - ICU

Location
• Burlington, VT

Schedule / Job Type
• 13-week assignment, nights shift, working 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities
• Provide patient care in the Medical ICU (MICU), including overflow neuro cases
• Float to other units as needed, such as SICU, Miller 3, and Miller 4
• Start IVs, maintain and manage multiple titrating drips, and monitor critical ventilator care
• Handle complex cases involving multi-system diseases, CRRT, IAPB, ECMO, COVID-19, vents, and multiple drips
• Ensure adherence to all critical care protocols and procedures, following hospital standards

Required Qualifications
• Active RN license in the state of Vermont
• AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS certification (NIHSS must be completed prior to start), CCRN preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience in a large, teaching hospital setting
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, including critical care procedures and ventilator management
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records within the past 2 years

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience in multi-system disease management
• Knowledge of CRRT, IABP, ECMO, and COVID-19 patient care
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently in high-pressure environments
