Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Location: Weston, FL

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care in the operating room for various surgical procedures, including liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplants.
• Assist with organ harvesting and transplantation procedures, ensuring proper organ handling and patient safety.
• Maintain proficiency in surgical tools and technologies such as Misonix and CUSA.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient and safe operating room operations.
• Adhere to facility protocols and safety standards, including certifications and timely completion of required modules.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in Liver/Transplant OR RN roles.
• Strong transplant experience reflected on skills checklist, especially with liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplants.
• Proficiency in using surgical equipment such as Misonix and CUSA.
• Valid ACLS and BLS certifications (must be current at time of submission).
• Experience with organ transplantation procedures, including organ placement in recipients.
• Ability to obtain NIHSS certification prior to start date.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Past experience in a teaching or Level Trauma facility is a plus.
• Familiarity with EPIC charting systems.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including on-call shifts and weekend commitments.
