Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient therapy services to pediatric and adult patients with neurodevelopmental, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Conduct patient evaluations using standardized tools such as CELF, PLS-4, and Rossetti scales.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing speech, language, voice, and dysphagia needs.
  • Document therapy sessions, assessments, discharge summaries, and care plans accurately in the EPIC system.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment strategies, safety protocols, and home practices.
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 8 visits per day in a facility specializing in pediatric and adult therapy.

Required Qualifications

  • Current licensing as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Ability to work in outpatient pediatric and adult settings, with experience in neurodevelopmental and behavioral disorders.
  • Proficiency with communication devices and dysphagia management.
  • Experience with documentation in EPIC or similar systems.
  • Knowledge of patient safety, including recognition of abuse and neglect signs.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience in pediatric outpatient clinics, hospitals, home health, or rehab facilities.
  • Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication devices and dysphagia assessments like Modified Barium Swallow Studies.
  • Background working with children with autism, birth defects, and developmental delays.
  • Knowledge of sign language and voice therapy techniques.
