Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, travel assignment with 13-week duration
- Shifts: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to telemetry patients in a 25-bed unit.
- Monitor patient vital signs and cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment.
- Manage chest tubes, non-titrated Cardizem and Amiodarone drips, and weight-based heparin infusions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient information accurately in Meditech EMR system.
- Adhere to unit policies, dress code (royal blue scrubs), and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- ACLS certification required or preferred
- Experience with Meditech EMR system
- Telemetry nursing experience
- Ability to manage chest tubes and IV drips
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior telemetry experience in a hospital setting
- Experience managing complex cardiac interventions
- Familiarity with hospital equipment such as Baxter IV Pumps and SCD pumps
