Schedule / Job Type
• Travel, Seasonal, Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 13-week assignment, 3 shifts per week, onsite
Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized nursing care for pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) patients, ensuring high standards of patient safety and comfort.
• Perform procedures such as conscious sedations and CT placements, and manage ventilated patients with respiratory failure.
• Maintain central lines, IV pumps, and monitor patient conditions with advanced equipment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Adhere to unit policies and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with hospital standards.
• Document patient assessments, procedures, and treatments accurately in the electronic medical record (Meditech).
Required Qualifications
• Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent PICU experience.
• Skilled in care of respiratory failure, including ETT management and HFOV.
• Experience with central line maintenance and care.
• Ability to work night shifts consistently.
• BLS and PALS certifications.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Post-operative cardiac care experience.
• Venous puncture proficiency.
• Flexible and helpful personality, capable of working in a fast-paced environment with a humble approach.
