• Full-time, travel assignment, days shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical unit.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs, administering medications, and managing post-operative care, including orthopedic patients.
• Perform procedures such as blood transfusions, IV, and central line maintenance.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Document patient information accurately within the transitioning Meditech system.
• Float between MS2 and MS3 units as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing.
• Basic Med/Surg skills and experience with post-op patients, especially ortho.
• Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift.
• Flexibility to work three shifts per week with every other weekend.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with electronic documentation systems such as Medhost transitioning to Meditech.
• Familiarity with equipment like Pyxis, Welch Allen vital sign machines, and computer on wheels.
