Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized patient care in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU).
- Monitor and manage critically ill adult patients requiring advanced hemodynamic support.
- Operate and troubleshoot advanced cardiac equipment including ventilators, CRRT, Impella, Swan-Ganz catheters, and arterial lines.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care and procedures accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (Meditech).
- Adhere to unit policies, including weekend shifts and availability for on-call as required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license.
- Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience (adult ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU).
- Ventilator management skills.
- Experience with arterial/central lines, chest tubes, hemodynamic monitoring.
- Certification in critical care nursing (e.g., CCRN) preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous CVICU experience, including CABG recovery and CRRT.
- Meditech EMR experience.
- BSN degree.
- Knowledge of Impella devices.
