Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care to cardiac ICU patients, including hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care
- Operate and interpret advanced monitoring equipment such as Swan Ganz catheters and arterial lines
- Assist in the recovery and management of post-CABG and other cardiac surgical patients
- Adhere to unit policies, procedures, and safety protocols, including weekend shifts and biweekly weekends on call as scheduled
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience in adult ICU, CVICU, or Neuro ICU
- Ventilator management skills
- Ability to perform line management (art lines, central lines, chest tubes)
- Valid RN license
- Certifications in basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in CVICU or cardiac surgical recovery
- Knowledge of CVICU equipment such as GE monitors, EV 1000, Hemispheres, CRRT, and Impella
- Meditech electronic medical records experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and CCRN certification
