• Full-time, 13-week travel assignment, night shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and compassionate patient care on a Medical Surgical unit within a Level II Trauma Center.
• Manage patient conditions, including starting IVs, wound care, and maintaining surgical drains and tubes.
• Utilize equipment such as IV Pumps, Telemetry, SCD’s, and EKG machines to monitor patient health.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.
• Document patient information accurately using Meditech system.
• Support unit operations during assigned shifts, including bedside shift reports and patient/family interactions.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience.
• Ability to prioritize care, multitask, and perform basic procedures such as IV starts and wound care.
• Must be able to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends (2 out of every 4 weekends).

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a hospital certified as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center.
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system.
• Ability to adapt to unit policies and procedures, including floating policies and team collaboration.
