Travel, Full-time, 13-week assignment, Days shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit.
• Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and manage IV therapies including cardiac drips, insulin, and heparin.
• Perform specialized procedures such as peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, chest tube insertions, and NG/dobhoff tube insertions.
• Respond to patient needs with critical thinking and ensure effective communication using tools like AIDET.
• Document patient care accurately in the Meditech system and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Support patient recovery and safety in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Strong critical thinking skills and experience interpreting EKG rhythms.
• Experience managing cardiac and IV drips (including heparin and insulin).
• Competency with oxygen delivery systems like Bipap and high flow O2.
• Ability to perform procedures such as wound vac troubleshooting, central line dressing changes, and advanced patient assessments.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Peritoneal dialysis experience and peripheral IV skills.
• Experience caring for stroke and post-cardiac cath patients.
• Experience with tube feeding and NG/dobhoff tubes.
• Knowledge of wound care devices and advanced respiratory care.
