• Full-time, night shift (3x12 hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 23-bed Medical/Surgical unit operating on night shifts.
• Manage PICC lines, starting IVs, and routine patient assessments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care and patient safety.
• Document patient information accurately using Cerner electronic charting system.
• Float within scope to meet hospital staffing needs, including transfers to affiliate facilities as required.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and maintain compliance with safety and infection control standards.

Required Qualifications

• Illinois nursing license (active or in-process with ETA).
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical RN experience.
• BLS and NIH certifications required; AHA and Red Cross only.
• Experience with PICC line management and starting IVs essential.
• Background check completion prior to start date.
• Travel compliance requirements including SSN, DOB submission, and proof of certifications.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous charge nurse experience.
• Cerner electronic health record system proficiency.
• Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center or Magnet hospital.
• Ability to work holidays and flexible schedules.

Shifts Per Week

• 3 night shifts per week

Hours Per Shift

• 12 hours (18:45 – 07:15)

Open to local candidates and travel

• Local applicants accepted within Illinois; travel candidates must be 50+ miles from the facility.
• All travelers will float within hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed.

Additional Notes

• Must have Illinois license or be in process with ETA.
• Candidate must be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
• Guaranteed hours with some permitted call-offs; client policy applies.
• Parking permits provided at no cost during orientation.
