• Full-time, Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 4 nights per week, temp assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular and thoracic surgery patients in the CVICU.
• Monitor and interpret EKG strips, manage ventilators, drips, sheaths, and dialysis equipment.
• Perform invasive procedures including A-Line placements and ABG draws.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure targeted patient ratios and quality care.
• Float as needed within designated units, maintaining flexibility to support various patient care teams.
• Adhere to unit protocols and compliance requirements, including completing necessary modules and assessments.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year dedicated CVICU experience.
• Current RN license (must obtain license before contract start if not in hand; Ohio license not required).
• Valid BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Ability to interpret EKG strips, handle vents, drips, sheaths, dialysis, and draw ABGs.
• Pass online EKG tele competency assessment before start.
• EPIC experience preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Level 1 Trauma experience.
• Prior travel or float nursing experience.
• Experience with A-Lines, dialysis, and advanced invasive procedures.

Additional Notes

• Shifts are night hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM).
• Must be available to work every other weekend and holiday, including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.
• RTO requests must be noted at submittal; no after-offer requests.
• Clear compliance with travel documentation and assessments, including lab work and EKG exams within 72 hours of signing.
• Modules required for orientation and annually, totaling up to 24 hours.
• Local travel radius: 50 miles for nursing.
