• Full-time, Nights, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a Medical Surgical and Telemetry unit tailored for rehabilitation needs.
• Monitor and interpret laboratory results, vital signs, and patient health questionnaires.
• Perform aseptic dressing changes, set up sterile procedures, and collect specimens such as blood, urine, and throat cultures.
• Manage medication reconciliation and assist with pharmacy calls and patient refill requests.
• Triage patient needs via telephone and coordinate care effectively across various hospital departments.
• Float to different Cone Health campuses as needed, maintaining flexibility and adaptability.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year recent acute care or rehab nursing experience.
• Valid nursing license in state of practice (NC).
• BLS certification required.
• EPIC electronic health record experience.
• Ability to interpret laboratory results and perform phlebotomy.
• Pass/Fail EKG exam required during compliance, with up to two attempts allowed.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Rehabilitation nursing experience, particularly in inpatient rehab settings.
• Experience with neurology cases such as CVA, TBI, or spinal cord injuries.
• Knowledge of medication reconciliation, laboratory interpretation, and sterile procedures.
