Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, night shifts, 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients on the IMC, PCU, and Stepdown units.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias.
- Manage cardiac drips and perform sheath removal procedures.
- Assist with post-MI care, pre/post-cardiac catheterizations, and management of related patient diagnostics.
- Support patient care procedures including chest tubes, external CPAP/BIPAP, and non-invasive airway management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience on a cardiac floor.
- Current RN license in North Carolina or a compact license valid in North Carolina.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Experience with cardiac telemetry, sheath management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and cardiac drips management.
- Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Arterial line management.
- Wound care and wound vac application.
- Charge nurse experience.
