Registered Nurse - CVICU

Schedule / Job Type:

Rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts, part-time (3 shifts per week)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized patient care in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
• Manage patients with complex cardiac conditions, including those requiring PA lines, transvenous pacing, and mechanical circulatory support devices (e.g., IABP, Impella)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Monitor patient status continuously and respond promptly to emergencies
• Adhere to all safety and quality standards, including CPR and ACLS protocols
• Document patient care accurately and maintain detailed medical records

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse license for the state of Massachusetts
• Strong cardiac ICU experience, surgical or medical, with proficiency in PA lines and transvenous pacing
• Experience with mechanical circulatory support devices preferred
• CPR-AHA and ACLS-AHA certifications required
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (no local travelers)

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Prior experience working in a CCU or cardiac ICU setting
• Experience with advanced cardiac support devices such as IABP or Impella
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
