Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on the medical surgical unit.
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and manage IV therapies in accordance with hospital policies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient information accurately using the Meditech system.
• Float in rotation to other appropriate units when needed, maintaining flexibility.
• Adhere to unit-specific policies, safety guidelines, and dress code requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Tennessee or ability to obtain.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in a medical surgical setting.
• Strong clinical skills in IV management, medication administration, and patient monitoring.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and commit to a 13-week travel assignment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech documentation system.
• Familiarity with hospital equipment such as Kangaroo pumps and SCDs.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with patient ratios of 6:1 at night.
• Previous experience working in a hospital setting with similar bed capacity.
