Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a Medical Surgical unit, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Perform procedures such as IV insertions, wound care, drain management, Foley insertions, and telemetry monitoring.
• Document patient information accurately using Meditech Expanse system.
• Respond to patient needs with bedside shift reports, hourly safety rounding, and personal connections.
• Float to similar care levels as needed, following hospital policies.
• Adhere to unit-specific guidelines and policies, maintaining professional standards.

Required Qualifications

• Active Compact RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a hospital Medical Surgical unit.
• BLS certification required.
• IV certification required.
• Ability to perform procedures such as CBI, wound care, drain management, and telemetry monitoring.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation.
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse documentation system.
• Strong bedside nursing skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
