• Full-time, contract (13 weeks), travel opportunity, days shift, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in a mixed cardiac and medical ICU setting for patients with diverse conditions such as DKA, acute respiratory failure, MIs, CABGs, ventilators, etc.
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans following ANA standards.
• Administer medications and treatments, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and care needs.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of quality patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Current Louisiana RN license or valid Compact license
• BLS certification through AHA
• ACLS certification through AHA
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a critical care or ICU setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for diverse cardiac and medical ICU patients with complex needs
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong clinical judgment
• Flexibility with scheduling and block shifts
