Key Responsibilities
• Assist in surgical procedures and ensure proper sterilization and handling of surgical instruments
• Support surgical team with equipment setup and maintenance
• Monitor patient status and document procedures accurately in electronic health records
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety protocols during all surgical activities
• Float within the hospital as needed, supporting various departments and units
Required Qualifications
• Valid California license in relevant technologist field (e.g., Surgical Tech)
• Current BLS certification
• Certification from NCCT or CST preferred
• Minimum of 1-2 years of hospital surgical tech experience
• Ability to work 8-hour shifts and work on-call as required
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience working in an acute care hospital setting
• Familiarity with Epic electronic charting system
• Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
