Job Title
• Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown
Location
• Columbus, OH
Schedule / Job Type
• Travel contract, Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
• Provide skilled nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a mixed acuity unit, including surgical oncology, hepatobiliary, colorectal, and plastic surgery patients.
• Administer chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, and manage oncologic emergencies such as cytokine release syndrome.
• Monitor and support patients with insulin and heparin drips, ensuring adherence to infection prevention protocols and fall prevention.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient care accurately using computerized charting systems (EPIC).
• Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards during night shifts.
Required Qualifications
• Valid compact or state RN license in Ohio at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of registered nursing experience in a similar setting.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Demonstrated ability to manage adult and geriatric patient populations.
• Experience with surgical oncology, hepatobiliary, colorectal, or plastics patient care preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Oncology chemotherapy certification (ONS Chemo) preferred.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Familiarity with advanced patient emergency protocols and critical care procedures.
