Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, rotating weekends, travel assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patientcare within the Medical Surgical unit, including post-operative care, blood transfusions, and IV/central line maintenance
• Document patient information accurately using Medhost (transitioning to Meditech)
• Collaborate with unit staff, float between MS2 and MS3 units as needed
• Support patient comfort and safety, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and procedures
• Maintain certifications such as BLS; ACLS preferred but not required
• Utilize equipment including computers on wheels, Pyxis, and vital sign machines

Required Qualifications

• Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
• At least 2 years of recent Med Surg experience
• Experience with post-operative patients, particularly in orthopedics
• Basic skills in blood transfusions, IV, and central line maintenance
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a hospital setting with a patient ratio of 5:1
• Ability to adapt to new technology and equipment, including transitioning documentation systems
