Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical
Location: Nashville, TN
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, travel assignment
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care on a Medical Surgical unit in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and perform treatments.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient information accurately using the facility’s electronic medical records system.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Float to other appropriate areas as needed based on staffing and patient volumes.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of Tennessee.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications such as ACLS are a plus.
• Proficiency with medical equipment such as IVs, Kangaroo pumps, SCDs.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and adapt to a rotating schedule including every other weekend.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Prior experience in a hospital setting with medical-surgical units.
• Strong documentation skills with electronic health record systems, preferably Meditech.
• Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
