Special Education Teacher

Job Title
• 25/26 - SPED Teacher (Elementary) - Atlanta, GA

Location
• Atlanta, Georgia

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, onsite, 5 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and support special education students in lower school (3rd and 4th grades) to foster their intellectual, emotional, physical, and social development
• Review weekly lesson plans and make necessary modifications to meet student needs
• Teach small groups in guided reading and math using research-based curricula
• Implement and adjust behavior interventions to support student success
• Monitor student progress through data collection and compile reports for meetings and annual reviews
• Collaborate with teachers and families to review learning goals and student progress

Required Qualifications
• Valid certification in Special Education (required)
• Experience managing a special education caseload
• Ability to teach core subjects (Math and Reading) to elementary students
• Bachelor’s degree in education or relevant field

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior experience working with elementary students with diverse learning needs
• Familiarity with behavior intervention strategies
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
