Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting.
• Collaborate with medical team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Utilize advanced nursing skills to perform procedures and monitor patient status.
• Ensure documentation accuracy using Cerner system and adhere to hospital policies.
• Maintain a respectful and compassionate environment, ensuring a positive patient experience.
• Follow all unit-specific policies, safety protocols, and dress code requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of North Carolina.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a registered nurse, with at least 1 year in ER.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC certifications (must be obtained before start date).
• Experience working in a Level 2 trauma center or high-volume emergency department.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback.
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED and participate in floating as needed.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience with HCA facilities preferred.
• Experience serving a diverse, multi-lingual patient community.
• Familiarity with high-tech equipment such as Baxter pumps and GE monitors.

Additional Information

• Uniform required: Navy scrubs.
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, with every other weekend.
• No floating outside of the ED is required, but candidates should be open to all ED sections.
