Job Title

Key Responsibilities
• Provide nursing care for patients in intermediate care, progressive care, and step-down units, including post-operative, vascular, and cardiovascular surgery patients.
• Monitor and manage complex cardiac and vascular conditions, ensuring patient stability and safety.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist with procedures such as chest tube management and epidural care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and progress using electronic medical records.
• Assist with patient education and discharge planning as needed.

Required Qualifications
• Valid and current RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Prior experience in IMC, PCU, or step-down units.
• Experience with post-operative vascular and cardiac surgery patients preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Previous experience in cardiovascular surgical units, including open heart, TAVR, lobectomy, AAA repair, or fem-pop bypass.
• Telemetry experience.
• Knowledge of cardiac and vascular procedures and medications.
